Chancellor’s Message Endorsing Work of Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Staff

University of California, Irvine staff members are an integral part of our operation and make vital contributions to our success. They ensure that our campus runs efficiently and they provide invaluable support to our educational and research missions.

In order to preserve and strengthen these contributions, UCI established the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Staff in 2002. CACSS is charged with advocating for staff, promoting career development opportunities, mitigating problems and creating a positive work environment.

I fully support the committee members in this effort and remain committed to making UCI a great place to work. I will be monitoring the committee’s recommendations for opportunities to build on our success.

I also want to take this opportunity to reiterate to our staff my deep appreciation for your hard work and dedication. Your efforts provide the foundation for UCI’s continued excellence.
