CACSS Goals & Activities
GOALS
Many of our goals are established as a direct result of feedback provided by campus staff throughout CACSS neighborhood meetings:
- To increase awareness of UC Irvine’s values (respect, intellectual curiosity, integrity, commitment, empathy, appreciation and fun).
- To facilitate conversation between staff and executive leadership conveying high priority issues such as supervision, summer quarter workload, career development.
2006-07 ACTIVITIES
The following activities took place during fiscal year 2006-07:
- Held neighborhood meetings on a quarterly basis; (see notes from Nov. 29 meeting). Meeting regarding campus diversity held May 23.
- Hosted neighborhood meeting at UC Irvine Medical Center June 15.
- Investigated staff impacts with growth of summer quarter with Gary Matkin, dean, University Extension, Jan. 5.
- Updated and maintained the CACSS Web site.
- In partnership with Human Resources and Staff Assembly, offered a forum for staff on networking and relationship building Aug. 7.
- In partnership with Human Resources at the campus and medical center, offered to medical center employees a forum on career development.
- In partnership with the Leadership Committee, offered a forum for managers on effective leadership March 28.
- Followed-up on 2005-06 Annual Report recommendations.
