Our Mission

 

The CER serves as the official connecting link between retired UCI Emeriti, Faculty, and Staff, their respective Associations, and the University.

 

We recognize that it is through their efforts that the University enjoys the renowned reputation it has today. We value retaining the experience, enthusiasm, and energy of the retired staff and faculty of UC Irvine.

To this end, we endeavor to coordinate programs and services which will:

Enhance the quality of life in retirement in a professional and caring environment.

Bring creative and innovative ways in which our constituency will have opportunities to continue to learn and remain a vital part of our UCI community.

Coordinate knowledge of campus, system-wide and community resources and policies to facilitate retirement educational programs and services.

Provide information about UCI

Promote opportunities for the retirees' continued participation and/or service in campus life.
