  • APRIL 15th, Annual Chancellor’s Reception Honoring All UCI Emeriti & Retirees  from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Student Center, Pacific Ballroom. This will also be the FIVE-year anniversary for UC Irvine having its very own Center for Emeriti & Retirees!   How many of you recall the many years when this concept was championed by persistent emeriti, retired faculty and staff?   I am very proud of the achievements we all have made to be a fully functioning Center in just five years. 
    This event will also feature our 4th Annual Art Exhibit featuring amazing works from our emeriti and retirees.  We hope to see you all there to celebrate and yes you may bring a guest.  Parking and refreshments are provided.  Please  rsvp(s) or call 949-824-7769 for more information.

    The building is accessible off Campus, turning onto W. Peltason and situated on the corner of W. Peltason and Pereira. 

  • June 6th, 3rd Annual Retirees and Emeriti Golf Tournament to be held at the Costa Mesa Country Club with a start time of 11:30 a.m.  Those of you who attended last year know that everyone from beginner to expert had a grand time.  Participation is at $70-$80 per person (depending upon how many participate) and the day is followed by a great reception at the golf course.  To express your interest, please call 949-824-7769, or, email  Expect:  Great fun, prizes, and food, of course!


  • June 7th, Annual UCI Emeriti Association Membership Meeting and Awards Presentation in the University Club Library Room at 10:00 a.m.   The guest speaker will be Gerald A. Maguire, MD, DFAPA, Senior Associate Dean, Medical Education, Kirkup Chair in Stuttering Treatment, and, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry.  His topic will be "From the King's Speech to UC Irvine--Understanding and Treating Stuttering."  Parking and refreshments are provided.  Please RSVP to this event by emailing, or, calling 949-824-7769 for more information.
