Welcome to UC Irvine Staff Assembly
Council Standing Committees
ABOUT OUR COMMITTEES...
Our COMMITTEES are made up of staff members who care about their colleagues across campus and decide to get actively involved. They are people like you.
There are different kinds of committees in Staff Assembly:
- Standing Committees are permanent, and ongoing. They deal with issues and areas of concern that are continuous and have no foreseeable ending date. See below for a list of these committeess. Their Chairs are elected and serve as voting representatives on the Council.
- Special Committeesare put together to deal with special issues that need concentrated attention over a defined period of time. The Catastrophic Leave Donation Program was the result of a special one.
Working on a committee can involve a little or a lot of time or something in between....
Short term time investments:
Work at an event for one or two hours
Distribute flyers within your department, school or unit.
Longer time investments:
Serve on a planning group
Develop programs and events
This is an opportunity to meet, help your fellow employees, and make a difference. You choose how much time you can afford to donate. Anything you can offer is enough and all of it is needed.
