THE UC IRVINE BUSINESS OFFICERS INSTITUTE

The Business Officers Institute (BOI) is an in-person functional knowledge building training program to enhance business officers’ ability to make sound business decisions and reduce liability.

The learning objectives include a better understanding of the UCI organization and operations, key contacts for problem solving and decision making, training and resources available, and building a community network of peers.

The target audience is typically those in the following job titles:

• Department Administrator
• Director of Finance
• Chief Administrative Officer
• Department Manager or Campus Personnel Officer

Participation requires the support of the nominee’s supervisor and the commitment to attend 3 in-person full day training sessions.

There is no cost involved for participation.

The 2026 nominations are open from August 10, 2026 – August 31, 2026. To be considered, complete the 2026 BOI Nomination Form.
